We are so happy to have Congressman Dave Min join us on October 14th! Congressman Min will tell us an what's happening in Washington D.C. and give us an update on his campaign.

Will follow Dave for a ballot review session. It's going to be a long ballot and we will review the endorsed candidates, recommended Judges and all (yes all) the state propositions.

Bring your ballot so you can put it in the drop box on your way home!

as we canvass for our local candidates and ballot measures ahead of Election Day!  We will Kick things off with special guest Congressman Dave Min, who'll help fire up our volunteers before we hit the streets to talk with neighbors about what's at stake this November. Join us at the Democratic Club HQ - 1495 Glenneyre - to watch the debate between Becerra and Hilton.

Debate starts at 6, so come a little early for some wine and cheese.

We will watch the debate and address envelopes for the voter guides.

CNN will host a California gubernatorial debate just weeks before Election Day as voters in the nation’s most populous state decide who will succeed Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom.

The one-hour debate between Democrat Xavier Becerra, who served as health and human services secretary during the Biden administration, and Republican Steve Hilton, a former Fox News host, will be held on September 30 at 9 p.m. ET (6 p.m. PT).

CNN anchors Jake Tapper and Dana Bash will moderate the event, which will take place in the Los Angeles area.

The Democratic Party of Orange County's 31st Annual Harry S. Truman Awards Dinner will be September 19th at the Costa Mesa Hilton. The Truman Dinner is the largest gathering of Democrats in Orange County and is sure to be a night not to miss!

This year’s theme is “This is Our House! 7 in 2027” highlighting our urgency toward flipping the House of Representatives to ensure a check on the corrupt Trump Administration and sending 7 Democrats to congressnext year, a historic feat!

The theme reflects both the work of defending our progress in Orange County and competing in critical races up and down the ballot, including securing and expanding our Democratic majority on the Orange County Board of Supervisors. Four Laguna Beach Democratic candidates have been endorsed by LBDC and the Democratic Party of Orange County (DPOC) and we look forward to supporting them to the finish line in November.  

But, we’re not done! Now it’s time to take a position on two ballot measures in Laguna Beach.  In the November election, we will be voting to renew the School Bond that was passed with Measure R in 2001.  We will also be voting on a measure to enact City Council term limits.  

There will be more information coming shortly on how we vote on a position for the measures and we will be sending out a position statement for both measures by Monday for your review.

Reminder:  As always, only Members In Good Standing will be allowed to vote.
